We are an Indianapolis company, founded by Daniele Cucchiaroni and Ashlee Nemeth who combined their passion and knowledge to create “The Best of Umbria”.

Born and raised in Terre Haute, Ashlee Nemeth, sommelier at Freeland’s Restaurant in Carmel but also previously at their sister restaurant Tinker Street in Indianapolis, moved to Indy in 2010. She studied abroad in Italy for her degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Indiana State University. Hired at Tinker Street as a server, then moved her way up to Sommelier. She took her Sommelier Certification through WSET and classes were held in Chicago. Ashlee has been with the same restaurant group for about 12 years. Opening Tinker Street in 2015 then also opening Freeland’s Restaurant in 2025 and has been with the same restaurant group ever since, learning about wine and becoming one of the preeminent sommeliers in the city.

Daniele Cucchiaroni, an Italian mechanical engineer graduated from the University of Perugia, has always been passionate about engines and jazz music, as well as good food. Since 2014 he has moved to the United States and is a Race Engineer in the Indycar series, currently working for the Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing team.
